Pharmaceutical industry

Due to the particularities of the pharmaceutical industry and the importance of following the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards, at MEINSA we offer industrial automation solutions especially aimed at the sector.

Our solutions
for the pharmaceutical industry

In the pharmaceutical industry, it is essential to follow good practices to guarantee the quality of the product, as well as follow what the 21 CFR part 11 regulation dictates.

Regulation 21 CFR part 11 and GMP

Our solutions are focused on helping pharmaceutical companies to follow the recommended manufacturing practices (GMP) and adapt to the 21 CFR part 11 regulation.

This implies that the product has to follow the User Requirement Specifications (URS), through Installation Qualification (IQ) and Operation Qualification (OQ) procedures and undergoing regular tests for performance qualification (PQ).

Raw materials and ingredients

In a sector like the pharmaceutical industry, controlling and supervising the supply of raw materials is essential, which is why this is one of the focuses of our automation solutions.

In addition, we work with dosing and weight control systems that allow us to standardize the product and guarantee its quality.

Manufacturing and packaging

Among our solutions are batch processes and automatic format changes to optimize the preparation and packaging of the product.

We define the operations that will take place in production and automate them, each one in a defined period of time. Also, for packaging, we replace manual adjustments with connected indicators so that it is possible to change the format automatically.

Other processes

Energy efficiency and cleanliness are other focuses that we can have in our process automation solutions:

  • CIP systems to automatically clean the machines without disassembling them.
  • Automation of waste plants.
  • Control of water treatment.
  • Optimization of energy consumption.
  • Weight control of ingredients.
